You really thought you could sing some song and solve everything? How about you leave it to the real heroes?
~ Audrey to the Bard in her first appearance

Audrey Redheart is the main antagonist of the 2018 rhythm-adventure game Wandersong. She is the "hero" chosen by the goddess Eya to kill the seven Overseers and end the world so that Eya can build a new one in its place, as has happened throughout history. However, Audrey turns out to be quite villainous in her own right.

What Makes Her Pure Evil?[]

  • While she does take on the responsibilities as Hero, it's clear she only does it for the glory, rather than for doing what's right.
  • She isn't deterred when told that her actions would end the world. Heroes also usually are not told that until the very end of their journey, making her worse than her predecessors.
  • Kills Overseers without hesitation.
  • Froze a troll near the start of the game.
  • In her first appearance, struck down the Bard with a thunder bolt despite being told not to.
  • Yells at Eyala for trying to explain more of the sword to her.
  • Strikes down Miriam near the end of Act 5 for letting two spirits out the Spirit World.
  • Teams up with the Bard temporarily, only to lie to him and makes a false promise to not kill any more Overseers. When she eventually betrays the Bard, she bluntly tells him that she lied about her promise.
  • Eyala says that she tried to get Audrey to reconsider stopping her quest, she got upset as she only wants to be the hero instead of saving the world, and ditches her.
  • In her final appearance, she pursues the Dream King, only seeing it as a final boss.
  • Even when beaten and told that she doesn't have to be the hero, she rejects her chance to reform, and kills the Dream King, nearly causing the end of the world.
  • In the alternate ending, she succeeds in destroying the world.
  • Since she is never seen again after killing the Dream King, and her fate is left ambiguous, she is insufficiently punished for her crimes.
  • It's implied she may have some insecurities, but they aren't confirmed to be real.
