~ Flass attempting to kill Catwoman.
Hey, hey, hey, hold on! That was a righteous shoot. You can't do this! You're just some lousy vigilante! I'm a goddamn cop!
~ Flass' breakdown as Batman threatens him with his own gun over killing Harvey Dent.

Arnold Flass is the secondary antagonist of season one of the 2024 DC superhero show, Batman: Caped Crusader.

In his characterization, he is a corrupt detective working for the Gotham City Police Department who is under the employ of the Penguin and Rupert Thorne, and commits various criminal plots throughout the season.

He was voiced by Gary Anthony Williams, who also voiced Mongul from Batman: The Brave and the Bold and Riff Tamson from Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • He is a corrupt cop under the payroll of Rupert Thorne who has no qualms about committing crimes just as atrocious as those he was supposed to be arresting.
  • He treats his own partner, Bullock, like dirt.
    • Harvey Dent even rightfully suspects that Flass would ditch Bullock if the situation ever called for it.
  • He sold out Ronald Cobblepot to Oswalda just so he could get paid for it despite knowing it would result in her killing him.
    • This also makes Flass indirectly responsible for the destruction of the GCPD building, as Penguin fired a missile at it in an attempt to cover up her tracks.
  • He prioritized in eating his lunch with Bullock rather than helping Montoya deal with Clayface, who could have killed her had Batman not stepped in.
  • He tried to shoot and kill Selina Kyle all because she embarrassed him.
  • He released a dangerous criminal known as Firebug into a random neighborhood just to catch Batman, leading to the near deaths of all of its residents, including children, and the destruction of the building in question.
  • Alongside Bullock, he shoots Firebug dead to prevent him from speaking about the building incident.
  • He tries to deliver Harvey Dent to Thorne so the latter could kill him before being able to testify him in court.
  • He fatally shoots Dent when he throws himself in front of Barbara Gordon in order to save her. He then proceeds to follow it up by sadistically killing Barbara as well before Batman saves her.
  • He pathetically attempts to justify his murder of Dent as Batman proceeds to point his own gun at him, calling it a "righteous shoot," showing how much of a dirty coward he is.
