What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Using his powerful connections and diplomatic immunity to get away with his crimes.
- Had a group of L.A.P.D. officers killed for investigating his activities.
- Has his secretary killed by his right-hand Pieter Vorstedt for being in a relationship with Martin Riggs, just to antagonize him.
- Shows no forgiveness for his henchmen when they fail their tasks, shown when he has Vorstedt kill Hans for losing $1 million in Krugerrand.
- Brings out his diplomatic immunity to Roger Murtaugh to mockingly prevent him from arresting him after shooting Riggs, leading Murtaugh to finally give him a well-deserved shot to the forehead.
- Shows his disdain along with Vorstedt toward black people by calling them "Kaffir" (an south african negative qualifier to the black people).
- In one scene, he gets so annoyed with seeing Riggs in the car next to him that he just runs a red light, causing a car crash and nearly killing 2 pedestrians.
- While the film is a comedy, Rudd is taken seriously in-universe and doesn't have any comedic moments.
