Arceus is the overarching antagonist of the 2021-2023 fanfiction Pokémon: The Lost Child written by Ordeaux26. He is the god and creator of the entire Pokémon universe who instead of being mostly morally neutral like in canon is written as a tyrannical egotist who wants to wipe out the entire world as revenge for his banishment, after he was overthrown for his cruel practices. He, in one way or another, is responsible for much of the events of the series.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Unlike Arceus' canon counterpart, who, while occasionally presented as sometimes doing somewhat immoral actions, is overall a well-meaning deity who wants the best. This version of Arceus is a cruel vindictive tyrant whose imprisonment motivated him to wipe out the entire world in order to restart his creations to be fully loyal to him.
- In the past, Arceus was a vicious tyrant who mistreated all of his creations, including all of the gods under him, regularly wiping sections of them out if they were ever a problem for him.
- When the gods overthrew him for his extreme mistreatment Arceus killed several of them.
- Got Darkrai to work for him by threatening the life of his son Aegislash.
- Arceus had been subtly manipulating the conflict between the heroes as well as The Brotherhood at one point disguising himself as Mewtwo in order to increase the fighting. Arceus was doing this mostly in order to facilitate his return by getting rid of any opposition to his return.
- Though both his manipulations of The Brotherhood and others it makes Arceus responsible for a large amount of the bad stuff that happens throughout the series, both directly and indirectly.
- When The Brotherhood failed in taking control of the world Arceus would end up blowing the base of it to take out everyone inside, and even worse, it is strongly implied that Arceus deliberately orchestrated all of this so that he could take out everyone at once.
- Around the same time Arceus would massacre an entire gang of Patrat in order to manipulate their leader Watchog into going after Empoleon and Sceptile by tricking him into thinking it was them that killed his gang.
- When Arceus is freed from his prison he sadistically revealed he was the one who killed Watchog's gang and he lied to him and then killed Watchog when he turned against him.
- Summoned a massive energy ball he was going to use to destroy the entire world and then recreate it in his image.
- During the battle with the heroes Arceus kills two of them and mutilates Empoleon by ripping off his arm.
