Annihilus, also known as The Living Death That Walks is major antagonist in the Marvel Universe, serving as the secondary antagonist of the Fantastic Four franchise and a major antagonist in both the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy franchises.
An alien warlord and the ruler of the Negative Zone, Annihilus is a universal threat capable of fighting superhero teams like The Guardians of the Galaxy, and The Avengers. He is also one of the Fantastic Four's greatest adversaries, comparable to Doctor Doom and Galactus. His biggest role in the comics was when he was secretly the main villain of the Thanos Trilogy.
He is the arch-nemesis of both Human Torch and Nova.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Killed his creator, when he achieved sentience.
- Conquered every planet in The Negative Zone just to sooth himself of the paranoia that people would kill him.
- Destroyed multiple planets in both the universe and negative zone.
- Killed Johnny Storm, leaving the world in grief, and continuously tortured and resurrected the former so he can open the portal and do the same to the entire universe and the Fantastic Four.
- Forced Johnny Storm and the Light Brigade to repeatedly fight in his gladiatorial battles, leading to them to always die either to his fighters or by his own hands, only to resurrect them to die all over again. All for his sick amusement.
- Attempted to kill everything in the universe except himself, leading his insect army known as the Annihilation Wave to massacre and destroy several planets and species across the universe, these acts also indirectly caused the war and invasion of the Skrulls, known as Secret Invasion.
- Destroyed the Skrull Empire and Xandar.
- He is taken fully seriously as a threat for all of the reasons listed above.
- He has no redeeming qualities, whatsoever.
- His defeat and capture by Human Torch while played for comedy, is not a mitigating factor, instead it is treated as karma for what he did to the Negative Zone and to the superhero.
