Amon, otherwise known as the "Dark Voice" or the "Fallen One", is the overarching antagonist of the StarCraft franchise.

He serves as the unseen overarching antagonist of the first StarCraft game, along with its expansion Brood War, and as the main antagonist of StarCraft II, appearing as the overarching antagonist of the Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm campaigns and as the main antagonist of the Legacy of the Void campaign.

He is a malevolent and a rogue Xel'Naga connected to the Void who engineered a plot to destroy Xel'Naga and their Infinite Cycle in order to remake the universe in his image. He is master of the Forces of Amon and the creator of the Protoss and Zerg, which he intended to merge with each other to create Hybrids as part of his plan to destroy all of creation.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?

  • Betrayed the Xel'Naga, by creating the Zerg Swarm, considering them as a valuable tool, appreciating their ability to consume essence from other organisms and bound them to the will of the hive mind, with only the Primal Zerg escaping his control with the intention of unleashing them upon the universe to consume all life that was not under his control.
  • Planned to eliminate the Zerg, considering the Hybrids to be proof of the Zerg's success in his greater plan and intended to enslave the Zerg and use them and the hybrids to wipe out the Terrans and Protoss. Once the hybrids were dominant, he would dispose of the zerg and reshape all life in his own image.
  • Killed all members of his own race, the Xel'Naga.
  • Destroyed numerous worlds in his campaign.
  • Murdered a lot of innocent beings.
  • Enforced slavery on numerous planets.
  • Ordered his minion Narud to orchestrate his revival which includes orchestrating conflicts with many casualties and conducting lethal and torturous experiments on thousands of test subjects.
  • Manipulated the Tal'darim Protoss to fight for him with false promises of ascention. In truth, Amon and the Tal'darim ruler, Ma'lash, planned to betray them and slaughter them to the last.
  • Attempted to use a protoss phase-smith Karax, this was indeed the case as the device, called the Keystone, absorbed the void energies within the Queen of Blades while on Char and that energy was used for his long-awaited revival.
  • Attempted to destroy all life in the entire universe, returning it to the original void and then recreate it under his control.
  • Brainwashed countless Protoss and Terran to fight for him against their will and kill their former brethren, mind-raping them and mentally torturing them in the process.
  • Killed thousands of Protoss to use their corpses for his new host body.
  • While he claims that he wants to exterminate all life to put an end to suffering itself and tries to paint himself as a Well-Intentioned Extremist, it is revealed that his real motivation for his actions is simply hatred for the other Xel'Naga and their creations.
  • During his final battle he claims that he was used and manipulated by the other Xel'Naga. However, this is most probably an attempt to manipulate Kerrigan and even if it's true, it still doesn't excuse his actions.

Trivia
