Alphys is the secondary antagonist of the Undertale fan-comic Negativetale.
She is a mad scientist who serves as the sadistic right-hand to King Asgore. Gainting the position through pitching her inventions to him, she exploits her position in order to gain funding for her own projects while also perpetuating the tyrannical system that the king enforces. When Frisk enters the underground, Alphys begins to study them, intending to use them for unknown, but presumably malicious experiments all for the sake of pushing her own goals completely independent of her boss.
What Makes Her Pure Evil?[]
- Lacks any of her canon counterpart's redeeming qualities, with her being little more than an egotistical mad scientist who is willing to put others' lives at risk for the sake of increasing her own profits.
- While she seemingly lived in a dump before becoming Royal Scientist, her living conditions lead her to developing a superiority complex over everyone, thus negating it being a serious Freudian Excuse.
- Turned Undyne into a murder weapon which is said to make it so she will serve the King until she dies, essentially taking away her free will.
- When Undyne would ultimately wind up perishing, Alphys was completely apathetic to it, showing no care towards her, showing that she only perceived her as a tool rather than a genuine ally.
- Directly played a part in the underground's degradation by providing Asgore with the resources needed in order to completely conquer humanity and enforce his tyrannical rule upon the underground.
- Created Mettaton as an "Adversary-Eradication-Robot" and designed it so that whoever possessed them would lose all of their positive emotions, with ghost possessing them vaguely alluding to doing terrible things before she gained her own free will.
- Ultimately orchestrated Mettaton's suicide, knowing full well from the beginning that her show would bomb once it broadcasted on live TV and even admitted to finding it entertaining.
- Is implied to have performed the Amalgamates Experiments similar to canon, as she mentions in one of her notes that Asgore wanted her to find a way to resurrect monsters.
- While she does keep the human alive, this isn't because she was genuinely merciful, but rather because she wanted to study them due to their strange behavior, and this is without mentioning the fact that she planned on experimenting on them before she was killed by Mettaton.
- She created devices that turned Monsters into mindless killing machines and presented them to Asgore in order to become the Royal Scientist, and while it is true that she states that she doesn't wanna use them on the whole underground, that is simply because she believes it would be a massive waste of time to tinker the devices to fit every monster, rather than having any standards against it.
- While she does willingly work with Asgore, this is purely for ego related reasons rather than any genuine loyalty towards him, as she is even willing to go behind his back for the sake of her own personal gain.
- Her death is ultimately played for zero sympathy, with it instead being cathartic as Mettaton is finally able to get revenge on Alphys for all that she has done.
- While not as heinous as Asgore, Alphys still stands out for her unique crimes of turning Undyne into a murder weapon and orchestrating Mettaton's suicide, and this is without mentioning that she is a much weaker monster compared to him, making it unfair to compare the two.
