Listen, you dogs! With one small -inator, we've moved the Earth into an early autumn. Now we, the collective scientific genius of L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N., have created an -inizor, ten times the size and strength! Capable of moving the Earth so far away, it will bring about a NEW ICE AGE!! So if you value your PUNY lives, you will meet ALL THE DEMANDS OF OUR LIST OR PAY THE CONSEQUENCES!
~ Rodney announcing his plot to take over the Earth by sending it to a new Ice Age.

Aloyse Everheart Elizabeth Otto Wolfgang Hypatia Gunther Galen Gary Cooper von Roddenstein, also known as Rodney, is a major antagonist in Disney Channel's musical-comedy animated series Phineas and Ferb.

He is known as the infamous arch-rival of Heinz Doofenshmirtz that happens to be more selfish and more evil than him in comparison. He later became the main antagonist of the TV special Phineas and Ferb Save Summer.

He was voiced by Joe Orrantia, who served as a writer and a storyboarder for the entire series.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

In General[]

  • He tends to be extremely petty, rude and insulting towards others for their flaws, especially his fellow villains as he constantly insults Doofenshmirtz over the latter's constant failures to do evil, despite the latter's tragic life.
  • He attempts to outdo Doofenshmirtz in evil by piggybacking on his schemes, such as beating him out on the dance floor, or stealing one of his inators (even renaming it an inizor) in an attempt to become leader of L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N.. He even tried to steal Doof's role in the L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N. Summer Stock Festival Play when Doof gets lost in the desert with Perry. However, he failed on his acts (by either Doof or Perry's intervention).
  • He made a gloating video chat to Doofenshmirtz about having a son named Orville who helped him in building an inzior, all just to taunt Doofenshmirtz for having a daughter named Vanessa.
  • He forbids his robot assistant Chloe to hang out with Doofenshmirtz's robot assistant Norm during a block party; even insulting Norm by calling him a 'rusted Romeo' for winning Chloe's heart thru dancing.
  • Despite having Orville and Chloe by his side, there is no clear case that Rodney ever cared for either of them, as he showed no concern over their well-being during his plot to create a new Ice Age.
    • Even when being accompanied by with the other L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N. villains during his plot, he clearly showed no concern for them either, considering that his actions would endanger them all as well.
  • While initially seeming to be just as incompetent as Doofenshmirtz (if not more so), he has already shedded that away in the "Save Summer" special and became an actual competent threat to everyone with his plan nearly succeeding.
  • While usually appears more on the B-plots rather than the A-plots, he still stands out for having committed very heinous crimes that are even beyond Doof's standards.
    • Overall, he easily stands out as the most dangerous and evil villain in the series, exceeding other villains (such as Rodrigo, 2nd Dimension Heinz Doofenshmirtz, 2nd Dimension Charlene Doofenshmirtz, Red Skull and Super Super Big Doctor) in terms of heinousness.

Phineas and Ferb Save Summer[]

  • Rodney accompanied the L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N. villains in fighting the O.W.C.A. animal agents after learning that both organizations are sharing the same ballroom space without their knowledge, ignoring Francis Monogram's attempts to calm both organizations down. This event is what caused Monogram to be fired from his job (due to O.W.C.A.'s security deposit being destroyed during the fight) and nearly led to O.W.C.A.'s shutdown.
    • It also caused Monogram to briefly lose whatever pride and confidence he had in himself, being reduced to a miserable homeless man after quitting his brief job as a fast-food restaurant employee.
  • Upon learning that Doofenshmirtz has actually succeeded in moving the Earth to an early autumn with his latest inator, Rodney orders Doof and the L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N. villains to exploit the panic that the Tri-State Area and the rest of the world are now are going over the situation. It also implies that while Rodney may acknowledge Doof for succeeding on something grand, he has no qualms in using it to his own plot to take over the world.
  • He exploited O.W.C.A.'s disoriented state by having Doof to lead the L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N. villains in capturing nearly all of the animal agents (with the exception of Perry, who managed to evade capture) and confine them into cages inside an abandoned warehouse so that they won't interfere with his plot.
    • He hired five ruthless thugs to serve as bodyguards inside the warehouse to watch out for and kill intruders, as the thugs tried to kill Monogram's son Monty and Perry when they infiltrated into the warehouse.
  • He exploited Doofenshmirtz's successful takeover of Danville City Hall and the Tri-State Area on behalf of L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N., as the civil unrest forced Perry to evacuate Doof's brother Mayor Roger from the angry citizens. And during L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N.'s press conference at City Hall, Rodney ruthlessly announces that he used Doofenshmirtz's blueprints of the inator to create an inizor that is 10 times bigger and stronger and will result in a new Ice Age, threatening to use it if the world leaders refused to meet all of L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N.'s demands. This leaves the citizens utterly horrified as a result; even a shocked Doof openly admits that Rodney is going too far with it.
  • He gets pleased at first to hear that the world leaders have managed to meet all of L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N.'s demands. But upon learning that the world leaders are unable to hand over the worldwide supply of pretzels (which is the only demand that they failed to meet), he smugly activates the inizor to move the Earth to perpetual winter, covering the entire Earth in snow and cold temperature.
    • Even with Phineas, Ferb, Candace and their friends working together in building giant rockets on the world's tallest mountains to move the Earth back into position, Rodney made sure that his inizor is strong enough to repel the rockets' firepower, making it impossible for the kids to move the Earth back.
  • When Doofenshmirtz coldly (yet rightfully) warns that Rodney's plot will endanger all lifeforms on Earth (including the entire human race) to starvation and extinction, Rodney shows no concern on this by claiming that the Earth now belongs to him and L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N.; even mocking Doof for his standards by making fun of his slouch.
    • This event also caused Doofenshmirtz to show extreme remorse upon seeing that his successful scheme has motivated Rodney to become more hellbent on world domination regardless of the consequences; he even lampshades this to a homeless Monogram while convincing him to get over his depression and do something about it.
  • When Doofenshmirtz demanded that he and L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N. rectify their actions by returning the Earth back to its original orbit, Rodney refuses and instead betrays Doof by getting into a fight against him over the inizor's controls, declaring that he will move the Earth further away to spite Doof. This implies that Rodney is willing to disregard Doof's warnings and condemn all lifeforms (including the human race) on Earth to suit his petty ego, much to Doof's outrage.
    • Taking Doofenshmirtz's warnings into account, it can be implied that Rodney's plot will directly subject Phineas, Ferb, Candace, along with their family (especially Lawrence and Linda) and friends (especially Isabella, Baljeet, Buford, the Fireside Girls, Irving, Stacy, Jeremy and Vanessa), as well as other characters (especially Roger, Norm, Chloe, Orville, the O.W.C.A. agents and the L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N. villains), to be condemned to starvation and death along with everyone else on Earth. This also drove Monogram, Monty, Carl and Perry to personally step in together to stop Rodney, finding him to be far more despicable and dangerous than Doofenshmirtz.
  • On the rooftop, Rodney tricks Doofenshmirtz into looking to the other side before pushing him out of the way and activating his inizor to move the Earth further away from the Sun. He even deliberately disabled the inizor's reverse switch and self-destruct button to ensure that it will never be stopped.
    • Taking Rodney's final act into account, it would've caused the Earth to collide into the planet Jupiter (as the latter's being used as an anchor by the inizor's beam to pull away), which would tear apart and vaporize the Earth through impact and kill all lifeforms in the process. Fortunately, a furious Doofenshmirtz whacks out Rodney with a mop before proceeding to tilt the inizor off the roof to disable the beam; even Monogram, Monty, Carl and Perry personally helped Doof with this by giving in more weight. This allows the kids to use their rockets in safely moving the Earth back to its original orbit.
  • Upon being arrested and taken into O.W.C.A. custody by Monty, Rodney smugly vows revenge on Doofenshmirtz for foiling his plot, implying a lack of remorse, as well as a refusal to take responsibility, for his own actions.
  • Rodney's fate of being arrested and sent to prison for life was well-deserved for his egregious actions that almost doomed the entire Earth; even Monogram (who regains his job afterwards) thanks Doofenshmirtz for defeating Rodney and saving the world.
    • Even in the show's revival, where Doofenshmirtz and the other L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N. villains continued on their evil-doings, they haven't made (or at least not shown to make) any concerns about Rodney, implying that they have severed all ties with him after realizing that he just used and nearly endangered them all for his plot.

Trivia[]

  • Rodney is currently the only Phineas and Ferb character to be Pure Evil (though Silly Pure Evil to be precise).
  • While he is currently PE, there is a chance that might change if he reappears in the show's revival.
