~ Reiblood to Ultraman Belial before fusing with him in Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legends The Movie |
Alien Rayblood is an enigmatic entity and one of the main antagonists in the Ultraman franchise, serving as the overarching antagonist of Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster Battle and Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legends The Movie. He is the creator of the Reionics and the one who gave Ultraman Belial his Reionics abilities in the first place.
In Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster Battle: Never Ending Odyssey he was voiced by Masaharu Sato, who also voiced Dezumozorlya in Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger. In Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legends The Movie he was voiced by Masahiro Chono.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- It was said that he ruled the whole galaxy many eons ago even before the Ultramen came to be, he was widely feared that even Yapool and Alien Hipporito were frightened of him.
- With his body destroyed, Rayblood would eventually spread his genes across the entire universe and create the Reionics, different aliens and beings who are capable of taming or controlling monsters. At that point, he would orchestrate the Reionics battle where he manipulated and tricked many Reionics users into fighting one another to the death until all that stands is the victor, promising that they'll become Rayblood's successor and rule the universe, in actuality, he would possess the victor as a means to rule the universe once more. Throughout the battle, it had severely dire consequences and impact on both the present and future:
- The battle holds a rather negative influence over those who lose all morality just to win a reward that is likely false and considering what happened with Rei when battling Alien Nackle, it caused him to achieve his Reionics Burst form and after one battle then the other, he became violent, sadistic, and bloodthirsty to where he likely had Gomora kill three Kaiju, beaten an Alien Metron to near death, and almost got him to nearly kill one of his teammates before he finally snapped out of it thanks to Captain Hyuga and the Seven Slugger. This is heavily implied that this may be Rayblood's doing indirectly via his predicament and inactively, making him responsible for Rei almost losing himself to his dark urges.
- He would also be indirectly responsible for how the battle negatively influenced Kate, Rei's sister, and Grande's sister as Kate got Rei to unlock his Reionics form as a means to have him become the successor and rule the universe while Grande's sister shaped the latter into getting stronger to the point he defeated her and likely caused her death.
- Because of this, Grande would not only be the reason for his sister's death but also likely cause the deaths of several other Reionics users upon defeating them when killing one of their Kaiju. This is likely to be that given Eleking's death would also be linked to Rei's life and it is said most Reionics would die if their Kaiju used in battle is killed.
- His actions after possessing the victor also hold great consequential outcomes from the future. It is heavily implied that his reign of ruling the universe once more was so horrible that it eventually cost planets to be at their destruction, while not all of it was shown, there was solid onscreen evidence to which we see the surviving members of the Alien Pedan race trying to prevent that future to save their home planet. It would eventually make Rayblood responsible for the Pedan's hunting down and killing at least several to dozens of Reionics users left and right with Dail being the top soldier, who likely has a bigger kill count than the other Pedans.
- He ultimately merged and possessed Ultraman Belial to grant him his Reionics abilities and his Giga Battlenizer, being the sole reason how he became the Pure Evil Ultraman he is today. Therefore, this would make Rayblood responsible for all the horrible crimes and events Belial has committed throughout his time (e.g. freezing the Land of Light, universal conquest, planetary destruction, temporarily killing the Ultimate Zero Force, detonating a bomb that wiped out all life in the universe temporarily, the birth of Geed, etc.).
- What's worse is that this is what Rayblood genuinely intended to do and because he enabled Belial to do the worst of his abilities, he was able to commit his worst acts with all the resources he needed. While Belial started out as somewhat arrogant and petty, he wasn't close to being evil and he didn't have the power necessary to commit those acts if it wasn't for Rayblood's merging with him.
- Another reason for this is heavily implied that he chose Belial to be his "heir"/host instead in case the Reionics users who fought to the death weren't enough to be his vessel, meaning the Reionics battle would likely be all for nothing if that were to be the case.
- Even after his presumed death in Ultra Galaxy NEO, a part of his spirit still remained within Belial for a long period of time and it was shown to still remain in him during the finale of Ultraman Geed.
- He is the one behind petrifying Ultraman back in Planet Boris for unknown reasons. Though it is likely, albeit heavily implied, it had something to do with Bullton summoning extinct Kaiju and having them attack sector groups that worked in Boris, likely causing hundreds of deaths at that time.
- He recreated Armored Darkness as his servant and eventually had it fight Ultraseven before it imprisoned him for the time being.
- It is heavily implied that he was the one who manipulated Alien Mefilas into awakening Armored Darkness, only to repay him by having his enforcer kill the latter despite his services, it also made him responsible for Mefilas killing other fellow Reionics users and one of their Kaiju.
- After Rei defeated every last Reionics user, he had him fight a revived and brainwashed Armored Mefilas into fighting him.
- Tried to persuade Rei into taking his offer of becoming his "successor" and when Rei refused several times, he had enough as he tries to possess his body by force all while possessing Armored Darkness to fight and kill him and his Gomora, then later tried to kill Grande and Red King for interference.
- Refusing to admit defeat, he tried to take down Rei and the rest of ZAP Spacy with him forcibly and he would've succeeded in doing so had Ultraman and Ultraseven not stopped him in time.
- Took possession of Reibatos and summoned a group of monsters and had them attack Sora, Ultraman Scott, Ultraman Chuck, Ultrawoman Beth, Ultraman Ribut, Ultraman Powered, Ultraman Great, and Ultraman Regulos.
- Despite not appearing as much similar to that of Alien Empera, who he still manages to get enough screen time in just three to four episodes, Rayblood's influence and presence have been felt throughout the events of Ultra Galaxy and Ultra Galaxy NEO, and he does manage to show enough personality and characterization onscreen despite having rather enigmatic origins. Even then, he does show Moral Agency given he seemed aware of the Reionics battle's outcomes and scoffed off Rei calling him out for this, therefore he has zero remorse for all the deaths he caused.
