Alexei Luthor is Superman's archenemy in the Pre-Crisis era of DC Comics, being the Golden Age, red-haired counterpart to Earth-1 Superman's archenemy Lex Luthor.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He foments a war between the Belgarian nations of Galonia and Toran from behind the scenes, hoping to send the other nations of the Earth at each other's throats so that when they are sufficiently weakened, he can step in and take charge.
- During this, he kills one of his own men to keep his true intentions secret.
- He tries to destroy the Daily Star with missiles, which if successful, would kill all of Superman's friends in the building out of sheer spite.
- He tries to materialize Earth-1 and Earth-2 into each other with an ion tractor beam, which if successful would destroy both Earths and thus kill billions of people just to be rid of Superman, taking Earth-3 as a "consolation prize". Even Earth-1's Lex Luthor was disgusted by this, as he wants to conquer his world, not destroy it.
