Aldrich, also known as the Saint of the Deep and Devourer of Gods, is the main antagonist for the first half of Dark Souls III. He is the leader of the corrupt Church of the Deep.
What makes him Pure Evil?[]
- Despite originally being a cleric of the Way of White, Aldrich slowly corrupted the Church of the Deep into worshipping him as a god.
- He callously devoured numerous people, including children, for power.
- In the original Japanese, some of these children are implied to be his OWN children.
- In addition to taking sadistic thrill in eating people alive, he would even bless rings to his followers in the Church of the Deep to imbibe in the suffering of his victims.
- Linked the First Flame just for power and to be offered human sacrifices.
- In the original Japanese, he lead an invasion of Anor Londo, killing many of Pontiff Sulyvahn's forces while leaving many of them to a fate worse than death.
- Invaded Anor Londo and devoured Dark Sun Gwyndolin to obtain his powers.
- He sought to bring about the Age of Deep, a version of the Age of Dark that lacks all the positives it has, instead being one that all will suffer in.
- Its conditions are also implied to have a hand in his mutations, meaning that if he reached it, everyone would be converted into similar creatures of bone and sludge.
