~ Abaddon introducing himself. |
Ezekyle Abaddon, known to all as Abaddon the Despoiler, is one of the main antagonists of the Warhammer 40,000 franchise. He is the Warmaster of Chaos, former First Captain and now absolute leader of the Black Legion, and rumored to be the clone progeny of Warmaster Horus. He is currently the most powerful Warmaster of all, the successor to Horus, and blessed by the Chaos Gods. His Warhammer Fantasy and Age of Sigmar counterpart is Archaon.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Initially, he started with many redeeming qualities and served Horus, viewing him as a leader and father, but later only helped him for personal gain and lost his loyalty and love to Horus.
- Afterward, he lost all the redeeming qualities he once had and turned against Horus, becoming a power-hungry psychopath.
- He blamed and betrayed the Emperor for being weak, and he tried to overthrow him.
- He was consumed with hatred for all living beings, including Horus, his former master.
- When Korosan Myrlath refused to join The Black Legion, Abaddon ordered Korosan's entire homeworld and Warband destroyed and Korosan to be tortured by being impaled and crucified upon their battle standard.
- He wanted to destroy the Imperium to get rid of him for his conquest.
- Tried to exterminate all life in the galaxy to clean up the place for his new empire.
- He hated humanity and wanted to wipe it out.
- Wanted to conquer humanity and unite the galaxy under the power of the dark banners of Chaos.
- Hated all living things and even life itself, considering it meaningless and desiring to destroy it and create a new galaxy under his rule.
- Stormed and tried to conquer the galaxy with his thirteen Black Crusades, killing billions with each campaign.
- Launched an attack on Cadia, destroying the planet and killing trillions in order to overthrow the Emperor.
- This would cause the Great Rift to erupt, cutting the galaxy in half and causing the deaths or enslavement of trillions more.
- Enforced genocide on numerous planets, murdering countless innocent lives.
- Wanted to kill the Emperor by dealing a mortal blow to him and then take his place, which would cause the collapse of all that the Emperor psychically upholds.
- Didn't care about his own men, treating them violently, being willing to send them to their demise, and even killing them himself.
- Terrorized the galaxy, killing trillions of innocent beings.
- He was never killed or punished for his crimes, and is still at large.
- Has surprisingly little recourses as opposed to factions like Necrons, who have de-atomizing weapons, Tyranids, who have bio-weapons and uncountable masses, or T'au, who have extremely advanced weaponry. Abaddon and his warband mostly use "simple" Bolter rifles.
- Unlike much of Chaos, including the Daemon Primarchs and even the Gods themselves, Abaddon has never given himself over to the powers of the Warp, meaning he is committing all of his crimes under his own free will.
- Despite the high heinousness standards of Warhammer 40,000, in which interstellar mass murders are rather common, Abaddon stands out for the sheer quantity of mass murders he committed and for causing the Great Rift that affected the whole galaxy.
- In Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2, after the fall of Cadia, he's leading the Chaos Armada in a desperate attempt to eradicate the Imperial presence throughout the Segmentum Obscurus.
- In Multiple Campaigns, if the player successfully destroys the Chaos Armada in the final level, Abaddon would be defeated and presumably killed in his flagship The Vengeful Spirit, thus making his presumable death really unsympathetic and well-deserved.
- In Chaos Campaign, if the player successfully defeats the other factions, Abaddon would survive and would congratulate the Chaos Champion for his success.
- In Arks of Omen storyline, he make an aliance with Vashtorr that Vashtorr will created a powerful space ships in exchange wit Abaddon help him find artifacts that will grant Vashtorr enough power to become 5th Chaos God.
