That's why I pointedly mentioned he's "completely overreacted" and was "worthy of Pure Evil status". A Pure Evil, as you may know, surpasses any tragedy or trauma or valid Freudian Excuse.

Tom Cooper. COVID was a very challenging time, and I found relatable his struggles - even if he completely overreacted and made himself exceedingly worthy of the Pure Evil status - and really didn't much care for the protagonist's Karen attitude, with even her own son pleading sensibility from her.

COVID sucked. Karens made my blood boil during the pandemic.

Light Yagami.

Near and the SPK, as well as the Japanese team, really annoyed me.

As noble as it supposedly was, I didn't empathise with Soichiro not killing Mello - again, as honorouble as it is, due to Near accurately stating that a truly decent person would never use the Death Note, with even Ryuk pointing out Soichiro technically died happy as users of the Death Note meet horrible ends - and very much felt Light's frustration with him not killing Mello.

That said, to be brutally honest, were I a part of either team, I would have put a bullet in Light's head or poisoned his coffee, as, despite the overwhelming evidence proving he's Kira, those two teams allowed hundreds of thousands of people to die whilst they were playing pocket-pool proving themselves "not killers".

It is actually meant to be horrifying - a 'Cry for the Devil' moment - with even Tiana feeling sorry for him. It almost became a prevention for Facilier's Pure Evil status, but wasn't simply because he was willing to inflict this on all of New Orleans.
