So, as we all know, Berserk has an extremely high heinous standard (probably one of the highest EVER), so they have a lot of destestable villains. My question is: how does ANYONE stand out in Berserk?
Griffith's worst crime is sacrificing all the members of the band of the hawk. The thing is, all the god hand members have committed the same act of sacrficing many of their loved ones.
Griffith's other worst crime is raping Casca in front of Guts. Wyald, Donovan, and Ganishka have also raped a woman (or, in Donovan's case, a child) and, in fact, have raped many more women than Griffith ever did.
Don't get me wrong, I can see how Wyald, Ganishka, Slan, and Void stand out, (Wyald had none of the reality warping powers of the god hand and still raped and murdered dozens if people, Void has convinced the other members of the god hand to make the same sacrifice he made, Ganishka is the only villain to orchestrate MASS rape, and Slan started a perverted, violent cult.) I think its arguable whether or not Griffith/Femto even stands out, as his personal vendetta with Guts is the only thing that makes the reader hate him more than the other mass murderers and rapists in the manga.
Maybe I'm over simplifying things, maybe I'm just being stupid, but it seems to me like some of the PEs (especially the members of the god hand) appear to fail the heinous standard to each other. Could someone explain how the each stand out enough to be considered PE?
