Light Yagami

What are some PEs who caused the most good, indirectly or directly? Naturally none of it comes with good intentions, but still.

Like Light Yagami, who despite being a psychopath god wannabe who was totally willing to kill innocent dissenters of his actions barely within weeks of gaining that goddamn notebook, still lessened global crime rate and wars through sheer fear of his judgement.

I mostly mean actions taken while the character is PE, but if you want to bring up in a character's past while a hero/less evil person, no problems.

Hello, I made these two backgrounds, one with Serious Pure Evils and the other with Silly Pure Evils. What do you think?

Some Pure Evil villains, despite their vile and sinister crimes, has managed to do something benevolent and good, although it was likely unintentional, selfish and pragmatic.

My first thought is Light Yagami from "Death Note". He managed to reduce the worldwide crime rate to a massive degree, although it was a textbook example of a "doing the right thing for a wrong reason", because with all of his supposed well-intentioned extremist agenda, Light Yagami was ultimately driven by his own delusional ego and God complex.

Second thought is Griffith from "Berserk". He overthrew Emperor Ganishka and his regime, but he did it only out of self-serving reasons, and despite him seemingly freeing the enslaved people from Ganishka's tyranny and acting like a benevolent new ruler, Griffith does it out of his massive egotistical desire for admiration and because he wants to be worshipped like he is a God.

Any other examples?

I thought characters with a sympathetic death couldn't count as PE. He dies in his father's arms, had an emotional moment, and there was sad music playing. Even L sympathized with him and said he wish he could have saved Light.

Also, his PE article stated his movie version was somehow resurrected from beyond the grave... Which simply can't happen because even in this continuity everyone goes to nothingness. No afterlife and definitely no resurrections.

NOTE: This removal is a complete joke and it seems to show how Light Yagami would react if he has a page on this wiki. He is a perfect example of a PE and I would never remove him.

Greetings, my name is Light Yagami, also known as Kira, and today I figured out I have a page on the "Pure Evil" wiki, and I say this is bogus as I am not a villain, I am a hero on his mission to cleanse the world from rotten people! And today, I am here to tell why I don't count on this wiki!

What's The Work?

Death Note is a Japanese manga series created by Tsugumi Ohba and written by Takeshi Obata. The story is about yours truly, Light Yagami, finding Death Note and using it to cleanse the world of rotten people as it focuses on my "fall to villainy", which is complete bogus as I didn't fall into villainy, I stayed a hero, and I am here to prove that I don't belong here!

Why I Don't Qualify?

It's simple: I AM NOT A VILLAIN! I am a HERO on his quest to use the Death Note to cleanse the world of rotten criminals and create a world of only good, virtuous people, isn't that considered good for you? Sure I have been met with opposition by my own father, Near, and most especially L, but they will face my Justice someday for daring to defy me and my new order!

Cut me right now as I am not a villain.

Don't worry i'm not questioning his PE status, if you worry about that.

You know it when one person firstly adds some category to character and then another person deletes it and THEN first person adds it again and later deletes it again and it goes round and round because people just can't properly discuss that. It already happened with Muzan and DIO when people constantly add and delete "nihilist" and "coward" categories - turned out that this two characters are neither.

And now it's Yagami his "coward" status which being added and deleted over and over again. What do you think about that? Or to be more precisely - is villain who shows fear only on a edge of death can be counted as coward? Especially if it happened one time, when villain is damn certain that he will die while never showing such strong fear before potential life threat before? Again, it's not only about Yagami - some other villains have same situations and there's also controversials around their "coward" status.

Some guy keeps re-adding Light Yagami there over and over again no matter what. Can we do something about it?

What did he do that made you consider him especially heinous?

For me, it was forcing Kiyomi Takada to burn herself to death, without a shred of sympathy or regret. I remember reading it and being taken aback, and seeing Light in a new light (no pun intended).

This was where he truly became a Villain Protagonist for me, as absolutely everything he did was by necessity; yes, even killing L and Rem, as they were both threatening his life. But this was so cold-blooded that I was viscerally disgusted with him. To think he even cried out her name when he was dying.

Oh. And taunting Naomi Misora. I could see that threatening someone who is on the verge of (unwittingly) taking you down would be satisfying, but taunting her and beholding her horror was not.

Why isn't his death scene a prevention? It was utterly undignified, with even the artist commenting that it was one of the hardest things he had to do.

Idk for this one, but you guys can explain why they're honorable and why you respect them aswell
