Hey there! It's my first post on this wiki and I'm curious - who is your favorite examples of Delusional PE (villains who think about themselves as heroes) and Card-Carrying PE (villains who are well aware of their evilness and admit it). Delusional is more ineteresting to analyze while Card-Carrying is more enjoyable to watch. My would be:

Emperor Belos as delusional. I find it interesting, ironic and just funny how he thinks of himself as the new Jesus, but in fact becomes the closest thing to the Devil/Antichrist. Not to mention, he's more in line with traditional ideas about demons and witches than the demons and witches themselves in the series.

And Joker as card-carrying. His entire character is one big proof that a character who does evil left and right just for the sake of shit and giggles and openly admits his depravity can be interesting and deep.

Also, keep in mind that villain can be both Card-Carrying and Delusional (Griffith for example).
