I’ve watched every single clone wars episode. Grievous usually has respected Dooku every time they met. He just had minor clashes with him.

Then why is he happy that he died and felt absolutely nothing when dooku got killed.

@Media Franchise Kid Your arguments don't make any sense about the heinous standards as a normal bully from a movie would qualify, which is not right as there is a difference between jerks and a truly evil character as they need heinous actions combined with their lack of redeeming qualities to qualify, and even then he might not make the cut as there are a lot of works that have high heinous standards, like Berserk, as rape and murder are normal in this work and only the worst of the worst could count or does a uniquely evil act that makes them different from the rest.

@Darth Deviltry He showed slight concern over Dooku's death when talking to Darth Sidious. He probably didn’t mourn his death much because he was primarily focused on his own goal.

@TheDestiny123 You do have a point. Bullies can’t qualify because every school bully has redeeming qualities as long as they don’t commit numerous crimes. But villains like Trout Walker should qualify because he for sure has no redeeming qualities and even killed for petty spite. And he caused Kate Barlow to become a villain.

Another villain that should qualify is Mother Gothel, because there’s nothing good about her whatsoever and she committed lots of crimes. She tried to kill Flynn and tried to lock Rapunzel away. She didn’t even care for her own daughter.

Like they don’t have to commit the highest crimes to be the worst. The worst are those who care about absolutely nobody but themselves.

@Media Franchise Kid Again, it depends on the work. If there are a lot of villains who do the same thing, they would qualify, and if the work doesn't have a lot of evil characters, then they would qualify if their actions are unique and heinous enough.

I think it's important to think about it from two perspectives.

1. If you heard about what the villain did in real life, would you be horrified or just a bit disturbed, or even just not care that much? If it's the latter, bog-standard.

2. If you existed in this universe and heard about what the villain did, how would you react? In universes where every villain tries to end reality, hearing about another villain trying to end reality won't be all that horrific.

And maybe don't rely on wikis for all info? They can be edited by practically anyone. Sure, they're usually reliable sources, but not always. Do your own research.

Most of these have already been discussed to death in the original proposals. Think of a redeeming quality about a PE villain? Check their original proposal. It'll likely be addressed.

All y’all don’t understand, in order for a villain to be pure evil they have to have absolutely no redeeming qualities and have nothing good about them at all, which includes no honor, caring about nobody else except them, and showing no mercy towards anyone unless out of pragmatism. The heinous standards should not matter because they are already the worst in the categories I just listed.

General Grievous is not pure evil. It’s said in the canon timeline that he cares about his pet Gor. And he was truly loyal to Dooku. He showed respect to him on many occasions and enjoyed serving under him. He even saved his life from being killed by Mother Talzin. He clearly cared about his master. And Dooku probably cared for him too.

Not a person without a profile picture trying to say that we don't understand the criteria. Have you even read General Grievous's PE page? Stuff like this is literally explained. Hell I'll even be nice and past some quotes from that page here so you can read them.

Or are you gonna keep acting like a smartass while completely ignoring the points brought against these exact redeeming qualities?
