Scar was, simply put, born evil. He was already pretty powerful as leader of the Lion Guard but his ego wouldn't let him be satisfied with just that and he felt entitled to have the throne as well, and season 3 of the TLG shows that cobra bite victims don't suffer any loss of control and simply lose moral restraints to negative impulses they already had in the first place. Kion got bitten by a cobra and yet never turned evil. And overall, I don't recall Scar having any genuine redeeming qualities.

Well it was said in his perosnalty section that Scar followed his duties and was loyal when he was younger and had some respect for mufassa id say thats redemming.

Please don't just go by what some external sites say and look at the source material before you make assumptions.

Scar's sin is pride which made him envious in the first place. We are not willing to have this debate again. He has 6 of the seven sins, his seventh one was cut and that is not pride, it is lust.
